Executive Vice President of Nestlé Worldwide (Nestlé S.A.) Nandu Nandkishore arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday.
As one of the highest-ranking members of Nestlé’s Global Executive Board, his first-ever visit to the country in an official capacity is intended to reconfirm Nestlé’s commitment to the development of Sri Lanka and to acknowledge the progressive development of the country thus far.

As an Executive Board Member of Nestlé S.A., Nandkishore is the new Head of Nestlé operations in Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East.
Nandkishore will inaugurate Nestlé Lanka’s third milestone in its Rs. 10 billion investment commitment to Sri Lanka with Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa and also meet with Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament Chamal Rajapaksa and other key officials during his visit here.
Nandkishore joined Nestlé in India in 1989. With a high profile and global career spanning over 22 years in Nestlé, Nandkishore has held many distinguished positions across the world including in Indonesia, at the Headquarters in Switzerland and in the Philippines. He was also the Global Business Head of Nestlé Nutrition, which is the world leader in specialised nutrition, before assuming his current position.
Today, Nandkishore is a member of the Nestlé Global Executive Board. He is also a Board Member of the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences (CH) and an active member of Nestlé Nutrition Council (CH).
Nestlé Lanka is part of the Nestlé Group. Nandkishore’s landmark visit to Sri Lanka reflects the Nestlé Group’s optimism of the growth opportunities in Sri Lanka and its strong confidence in Nestlé Lanka’s performance. The company delivered a solid 20% revenue growth in 2011 and was awarded the country’s highest business honour, the ‘Best Corporate Citizen’ award in 2011 by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
