Launched on Tuesday, www.weddingdirectory.lk is the online version of the SLT Rainbow Pages Wedding Directory, a one of a kind resource that includes a thorough listing of suppliers and service providers covering every possible wedding related product and requirement.

Setting the paradigm for the industry, the SLT Rainbow Pages Online Wedding Directory is a first and only such listing in Sri Lanka. Speaking at the launch, Sri Lanka Telecom CEO Greg Young said, “SLT Rainbow Pages has been setting the standards for the industry by introducing directories targeted at different segments. SLT Rainbow Pages were the first to launch a Tourist Directory which has been a tremendous success. The launch of the Wedding Directory is one of many introductions to the industry bringing ease and convenience to the general public.”
Speaking at the launch, SLT Publications CEO Malraj Balapitiya said, “I am very proud to be able to launch this web based directory. It is the first such comprehensive wedding directory of its kind in Sri Lanka and will be available in printed form in September of this year. Both the online and printed resources have been designed in a practical, easy to use format and include suppliers from every region of the island.”
Speaking further about the online directory’s user friendly features Balapitiya said, “We have made every effort to include a gamut of service providers, and have many options to offer in any given category thus giving customers the best possible chance to link up with someone who can fulfil their needs accurately and affordably. Since suppliers are listed according to the region in which they operate, finding someone who can fulfil a customer’s needs is a very simple process.”
Balapitiya cites the directory and online portal as yet another example of how the company is developing and taking advantage of the diversified range of multiple access media available in Sri Lanka. “The two versions of the SLT Rainbow Pages Wedding Directory will cater to people across the board, anywhere and at anytime.” he explained.
Speaking about the website launch, SLT Rainbow Pages General Manager Ruwan Wijetunga had this to say: “The SLT Rainbow Pages Wedding Directory is comprehensive in every aspect. Our objective of creating such a directory was to make planning a wedding more convenient and hassle free. Designed to be an informative tool no matter what a customer’s dream wedding may be, the directory caters to any budget, location or practical consideration. A special feature of the website will be a section for marriage proposals.”
Promoted as ‘A brides new maid of honour’ the online resource and the eventual printed version will contain detailed lists of all wedding related suppliers from hotels, poruwa designers and jewellers to caterers, printers and confectioners.
SLT Publications, popularly known as the Rainbow Pages is the publisher of the comprehensive National Business Directory – SLT Rainbow Pages and holds the unique position of being the foremost Directory publisher in Sri Lanka. SLT has a proud history of Directory publishing dating back to the late 1930’s.
