Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to announce that ICC Chief Executive David Richardson will be visiting SLC on 15th December 2016 for a comprehensive briefing on the ‘SLC Way Forward’ which outlines its short, mid and long terms plans.
Mr. Richardson will be spending time with the Senior Management of SLC and will be briefed on the impending changes to the constitution as well as to the organizational structure of SLC, and will conduct an interactive session with Heads of Departments of SLC.
Commenting on the visit of the ICC CEO, President SLC Hon. Thilanga Sumathipala stated;
“We are pleased that the ICC has recognized the vast strides we have been able to take toward placing Sri Lanka firmly back in its rightful place as a cricketing super-power.
Several years of administrative upheaval had placed SLC in a very vulnerable position, and the return of an elected administration has seen Sri Lanka Cricket rising as a phoenix from the ashes.
We are happy that Dave has accepted our invitation to visit SLC so we can update the ICC on the vast progress made in the past 11 months as well as on the significant plans we have for the future”
Richardson arrives in Colombo on the 14th evening and will witness Sri Lanka’s first Youth Asia Cup fixture against Nepal at the NCC on the 15th morning prior to visiting with the Asian Cricket Council and Sri Lanka Cricket.
SLC takes this opportunity to invite an accredited journalist and photographer of your esteemed organization to be present at a Media Briefing to be held at 2.00 pm on the 15th December at the SLC Conference Hall.
