Sathosa records record turnover
Lak Sathosa has made the highest turnover of its history during the New Year season, according to its Chairman K.N.R Fernando.
He said that on 14 April its turnover amounted to Rs. 1,400 million, and the highest turnover on this day was reported from the Kalutara district.
Sathosa branches throughout the country sold items at a uniform price.
The Chairman said that Sathosa was able to curtail price increases in the open market during the festive season and if not for Sathosa, unscrupulous traders would have exploited consumers.
