Sri Lanka’s SEC lifts the 10% price band
Sri Lanka’s Securities and Exchange Commission has lifted the 10% price band rule imposed on the Colombo Stock Exchange trading activities.
The price band was imposed for 5 market days on certain securities based on an agreed formula which takes into account volatility and volumes.
However, the market regulator says, it will continue to monitor the behavior of the market.
It also says the price band may be re-imposed in future, if the situation so warrants.
