Seychelles plans joint holiday packages for tourists with Sri Lanka
Tour operators in the Seychelles want to promote joint holiday packages for tourists with Sri Lanka and establish direct air links between the two Indian Ocean islands.
Foreign Minister of Seychelles Jean Paul Adams who visited Sri Lanka this week mentioned in Colombo that they expected 350,000 tourists in the coming year. He also stated that most tour operators in Seychelles want to prepare joint holiday packages, combining Seychelles beaches and Sri Lanka’s scenic tea hills, jungle safaris and temples.
The Foreign Minister of Seychelles was quoted as saying in a statement that tour operators want to use their previous experience in creating joint Seychelles-Africa tour packages. It is believed that establishing direct air-links between Seychelles and Sri Lanka will enormously help importers and also enhance levels of current bilateral trade.
