Japan is willing to provide expertise to Sri Lanka to face disasters
Japan has expressed willingness to provide Sri Lanka with the expertise needed to successfully face natural disasters including earthquakes.
Japan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Nobuhitho Hobo revealed this at a media conference. He said Japan possessed the necessary technical knowledge to face natural calamities including Tsunamis and earthquakes. Exchanging this knowledge was important for Sri Lanka. The Japanese diplomat recalled the action initiated to provide the required expert know how to rebuild areas devastated by the tsunami in 2004.
Nobuhito Hobo pointed out that Sri Lanka can secure from Japan the expertise knowledge to monitor in advance natural disasters and in the construction of buildings which could sustain such calamities including aftershocks.
