‘Deconstruction’ on 19 May

They admit that there’s nothing quite like plugging in and riding the lightning, but come 19 May, a new wave of heavy metal are stripping things down and going unplugged.

The concert titled ‘Deconstruction’ will feature CryWolf, Angel Down, Circus Cult, Ethereal and R.A.G.E and will happen at the newly opened club/pub Fuze. The show is scheduled to kick off at 6.30p.m. and the gates have been announced at 6.00p.m.
Lasith Fernando from Angel Down explains, “You know we’re a metal band and we’re at home with that massive wall of sound behind and around us, but we always enjoy the challenge of going unplugged once in awhile. Because once we take out the over-driven amps and screaming distortion out of the equation, it really is a test of skill to be able to communicate our style of music to audiences and still have the same effect. And we love taking that challenge on. Besides, we also get to pull some covers out of the classics vault like Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne and Led Zeppelin which is always a blast.”
“There’s a reason we love going unplugged once in awhile,” adds Arfath from CryWolf. “And that’s because it’s always a great chance for us to connect with new audiences in the rock and metal scene and it’s sort of a gentle step for them to start checking out our brand of music. And our long-time fans always love seeing this side of the band so it really is win-win.”
Bernard, a.k.a D from Circus adds, “This is the first time Circus Cult will be going unplugged at a gig and all the guys are really looking forward to this. We’ve also got a really great bunch of people in the crew from the lighting guys, to the set designers so we’re really aiming for a show that gives people a proper theatric experience.”
