Offers special packages, discounts and gifts to mark ‘Health Screening Month’

A series of activities to promote health screening will be launched by Ceylinco Healthcare Services Limited (CHSL) in June, the month designated by the company as ‘Health Screening Month.’
Attractively priced comprehensive health screening packages with surprise gift packs and discounts will be on offer to those who undergo checks at the Ceylinco Healthcare Centre at Park Street, Colombo in June, the company said.

Ceylinco Healthcare Centre Senior Medical Officer Dr. Shyama Fernando said, “Unhealthy life styles have led to an increase in the numbers of adults as well as young people afflicted with illnesses that can easily be managed well if detected early. This programme is intended to educate and encourage people to make routine health check-ups a part of their life style. Managing a disease at an early stage or prevention have obvious health and economic benefits.”
“It is well known that non communicable diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension and Cancer are the number one killer in both developing and developed countries,” she said.
The Health screening packages to be offered by the Centre in June comprise of a complete physical examination, Body Mask Index (BMI), vision check, Refraction test, Fasting Plasma Glucose test, Full Blood Count (FBC), Urine Full Report, Lipid Profile, ECG, Blood Group and RH. The packages are priced from Rs. 3,000 upwards and can be expanded to include tests for Liver Profile, Blood Urea, C-reactive protein CRP and S Creatinine and GFR.
Those who purchase these packages will be provided an opportunity to discuss the findings in their reports with a medical officer at the Centre. The packages can be obtained by scheduling an appointment.
The first 250 individuals who undergo any of these screening packages will receive a healthy gift pack, the company said.
Corporate entities that would like to purchase these packages for employees will be offered discounts. Those who undergo health screening packages will receive three vouchers with a discount of 10 per cent to give their loved ones as gifts.
Additionally, Seylan Bank Credit Cardholders who purchase health screening packages in June and July will receive a 15 per cent discount on their credit cards, the company said.
