LB Finance starts celebrations for 41st anniversary with Blood Donation Campaign

Starting their celebrations for completing 41 years’ illustrious service to the Sri Lankan financial sector, trusted trailblazer LB Finance carried out a blood donation campaign at their headquarters. Taking place on 28 May, the campaign was held from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. at the OPA building on Stanley Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 07 with the participation of the mammoth LB Finance staff force.

Speaking on LB Finance, tradition and service to an appreciative public, Managing Director Sumith Adhihetty reiterates that the three can never be mutually exclusive; “For the past four decades and counting we have been a part of the Sri Lankan financial sector with the aim of providing convenient and affordable financial solutions to our customers.
It is a part of the LB tradition of service,” he states, “It’s in this vein that we had the blood donation campaign in addition to the other celebrations we have planned!”
The campaign is not a new concept for LB Finance. A similar was carried out last year to commemorate the company’s momentous landmark of 40 years in the industry. The campaign was a resounding success in terms of turn-out and outcome. In addition to the colossal staff strength shown, the general public also participated in numbers.

The financier ended FY 2011/2012 with typically high results; exponential growth was seen in public deposits, asset base and profit after tax.
A solid lending portfolio was compounded by a fast growing base of finance lease and hire purchase receivables. Fixed deposits, microfinance, gold loans, microfinance, factoring, margin trading, inland money transfer and islamic finance comprise of the rest of the financial portfolio that has been the combination for success for LB Finance.
LB Finance comes directly under the purview of parent holdings, the Vallibel group of companies. Playing an all-important role in the success of the group and the company is group Chairman Dhammika Perera. “LB Finance is a rock steady entity in the group as well as the financial sector as a whole”, opines the visionary entrepreneur credited with some of the greatest current successes of the corporate sector.
“It has not only been a rock of strength for satisfied customers but has also been able to show a significant hold on the market and solid results and dividends to shareholders. I applaud the efforts of the Managing Director and his committed Board,” he further stated.
