CEMS Global to hold eighth ‘Power Sri Lanka’ international exhibition

CEMS Global the multinational exhibition organiser is to hold its eighth Power Sri Lanka from 14-16 June 2012 at the Sri Lanka exhibition and convention centre (CLECC), Colombo. Co-partner of the exhibition is Browns Group.

Focusing on the development of power generation and transmission, alternative power, solar power, energy and renewable energy, the exhibition is set to bring in over 40 foreign delegates, 1800 visitors, all whom share the concern and opportunity that the energy market in Sri Lanka has to offer. South Asia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia specifically have been reported as the economies with booming growth and are high targets for foreign investment.
Three other exhibitions will take place simultaneously:
1. Renewable energy Sri Lanka 2012 International Expo
2. Solar Sri Lanka 2012 Expo
3. E-power Sri Lanka 2012 International Expo
S.S. Sarwar, Group CEO CEMS Global, USA and Asia Pacific explained how this not a consumer show. It is a networking platform for manufacturers, distributors and suppliers who in sum are opportunists, to not only strengthen current positions but to also gain knowledge in future energy technologies. “We have precisely selected our target sector.”
Power Sri Lanka is also giving special emphasis on renewable energy, this is to encourage investment in this sector to generate electricity from renewable sources to meet an ever-growing demand and lessen the dependency on existing resources.
With the increasing power and energy needs of Sri Lanka, thus creating demand to explore alternative opportunities in the power, energy, PV (Photo Voltaic) and renewable energy sectors of Sri Lanka.
The eighth ‘Power Sri Lanka 2012’ will be the perfect B2B platform for the entire Power & Energy Industry of Sri Lanka including Sri Lankan Industry stakeholders who will attend and get the opportunity to see the latest technologies and innovations in the Power Generation and Energy sector thus delivering a great networking opportunity.
Kennedy Joseph, Senior VP at Browns and company talked about the importance of this event and emphasised that he is “very privileged and honoured to co-sponsor this very premium event”.
