Nilaveli Beach Hotel, Tangerine Beach Hotel earn 2012 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

Nilaveli Beach Hotel, Trincomalee and Tangerine Beach Hotel Kalutara have received the prestigious TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.
The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Approximately 10 per cent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.

To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

The locality of Nilaveli and Trincomalee has much to offer from fauna and natural beauty to historic and cultural significance. The hotel has 23 standard rooms and 22 deluxe rooms with either balconies or private patios from where you can sit quietly with your morning cuppa and watch a magnificent sunrise over a vast isolated beach. Pigeon Island is now identified as a national park by Wild Life Authorities and was originally used by the British during world war two for target practice. Today, the island is a breeding ground for blue rock pigeon and a resting site for other migratory birds. The island is a couple of hundred meters off pristine shores of Nilaveli beach and perfect idyllic location to sunbathe and enjoy a secluded picnic
