Citi awarded top honors in Trade Finance Magazine’s annual client poll
Citi has announced that it has won top Trade Finance awards including repeat wins for Best
DFI (Development Finance Institution) Arranging Bank, Best Short-Term Trade Finance Bank and Best Structured Trade Finance Institution in the annual Trade Finance magazine Awards for Excellence client poll.
Additionally, Citi was awarded several regional wins including Best Supply Chain Finance Bank in EMEA and Latin America, Best Trade Bank in Central America and the Caribbean, Best Overall Trade Bank in Asia for the eighth year in a row, and several other #1 and Highly Commended honors.
Trade Finance magazine is published by Euromoney Institutional Investor and covers the global trade, export/import, commodity and supply chain finance markets. This annual client poll, now in its 15th year, is well established as an industry standard by which corporations and financial institutions alike are rated for the level of expertise and service provided to their clients.

Citi’s reach was evident in the recognition received in the global awards for Best Overall Trade Finance Bank, Best DFI Arranging Bank, Best Short-Term Trade Finance Bank and Best Structured Trade Finance Institution. Citi’s global strength was also recognised with three additional Highly Commended honors.
Regionally, Citi also performed strongly. In Asia, Citi was awarded Best Overall Trade Bank for the eighth year in a row. Asia also provided repeat wins for Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Taiwan, as well as top honors in Malaysia and the Philippines.
In the Americas, Citi took the top spot as Best Trade Bank in Central America and the Caribbean, Best Export Finance Arranger in North America and Best Supply Chain Finance Bank in Latin America. On the country level, Citi was named Best International Trade Bank in Argentina and Colombia. Highly Commended designations were given for Best International Trade Bank in Brazil, Chile, Peru and Panama, while Citi also won Highly Commended awards for Best Trade Bank in the United States and Best Trade Bank in Latin America.
In EMEA, Citi was named Best Supply-Chain Finance Bank, while securing Highly Commended honors for Best Trade Bank in Europe, Eastern Europe and CIS and Best Overall Trade Finance Bank in EMEA.
