The adidas Retail Stores in Sri Lanka have launched this year’s revolutionary football boot – adidas Predator Lethal Zones.
The world’s leading football brand, adidas has developed the ultimate weapon for ball control, the revolutionary football boot – adidas Predator Lethal Zones.

Complete with five deadly zones for controlling the game, the Predator Lethal Zones positions an arsenal of possibilities at a player’s feet – one zone for high-speed dribbling, another for perfect first touch, a sweet spot to generate pace while striking at goal, a driver to open up the game with long distance passing and a fifth zone for precision passing.
Managing Director of Hameedia Fouzul Hameed, himself a very avid football enthusiast said: “adidas is already the most popular and inspired sports brand in this country with its exclusive branded store in Havelock Town. As the sole distributor for the adidas brand in Sri Lanka, Hameedia is proud to bring this year’s revolutionary football boot – adidas Predator Lethal Zones to hundreds of football fans across the country.”
Speaking about the boot, Tushar Goculdas, Brand Director, adidas India who was on tour in Sri Lanka recently, said: “Insight from the world’s best athletes, leveraged through cutting-edge technology, has enabled us to introduce the most revolutionary products. The adidas Predator has been the world’s most successful football boot over the last 18 years. Now it has been re-invented into its deadliest avatar, giving players the ability to dominate and win the game through unmatched ball control.”
The five distinctive ‘lethal zones’ will help players master their game giving them perfect ball control. Composed of super-light (SL) rubber and memory foam with 3-D print, the new Predator is the deadliest tool-set ever fitted to a boot.
Made from the newly engineered Hybridtouch upper the boot combines the benefits of leather and synthetic for comfort, stability, reduced water uptake and the highest quality feel in all weather conditions.
The SL rubber provides optimum grip on the ball for controlled dribbling. The ribs of the rubber positioned on the lateral side of the boot are designed to provide a small contact surface area with the ball.
The large contact surface area on the forefoot with recessed ribs creates a vacuum effect for instant control, cushioning and stopping the ball immediately.
The larger surface area on the medial side of the boot generates greater spin and pace when striking the ball. The base is connected with raised 3-D ribs to create an enhanced contact time on the ball.
The raised and thicker 3-D shape on the forefoot follows the natural shape of the instep for greater distance. The memory foam on the medial side of the boot ensures consistency of passing, and a 3-D sticky print with large surface area increases ball contact time for more precise passing.
