Sri Lanka donates Medical Supplies to Congo
Sri Lanka has donated medical supplies to the Republic of Congo, on a request made by its government, the Ministry of External Affairs said today.
The medical supplies worth Rs. 3.3 million includes equipment and medicines.
The items were handed over by Health Minister, Maithripala Sirisena, to Actg. Minister of External Affairs, Neomal Perera last week.
The Minister of External Affairs, G L Peiris, on a visit to Brazzaville, developed a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations on February 1, 2012 with theRepublic of Congo.
This, the Ministry said was to improve mutually beneficial relations between the countries.
