Sri Lanka bans “Portable Horns and Hooters’ from cricket grounds
Sri Lanka Cricket has banned the use of ‘Portable Horns and Hooters’ in cricket grounds with immediate effect.
SLC says the decision was taken to safeguard the spectator comfort inside the stadium.
Accordingly, the rule will start applying from Tuesday, when Sri Lanka takes on India at the R. Premadasa stadium.
However, SLC says, ‘Papare Bands’ will be allowed to be played inside the stadiums.
“The general public are warned that the Security Personnel will search for the above items very strictly and will confiscate the item if found on the spectator” added SLC in a media release issued.
