This would provide an opportunity for the participants to gather all the relevant information they require with relation to the Industry they wish to enter and embark on their careers. It is expected that the Roadshow will create awareness in the minds of the participants with regard to the prospects and opportunities that exist in the industry.
The Road show will be free of charge and those who wish to participate should register with the American Chamber of Commerce by sending in their names to events@amcham.lk or Fax to 2336072. As accommodation is limited registration will be on a first come first served basis.
“As the tourism industry grows there will be an acute shortfall in specialist human resources. The lack of skilled personnel will be detrimental to service standards. If we are to attract high yield travellers we need to be equipped with a large workforce and a calibre that can deliver high quality service standards in the years to come. A huge demand for well trained staff has been identified by members of the industry,” an AMCHAM Sri Lanka official said.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka, founded in 1992 brings together approximately 345 Members representing 230 leading Sri Lankan and American Companies engaged in trade, business and investment activities between Sri Lanka and the United States of America.
