The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the third and final phase of ticket sales will be open to the public from the 1 August for the ICC World Twenty20 Sri Lanka 2012 which will run from 18 September to 7 October.

ICC Chief Executive, David Richardson commented, “I am happy to say that the ticket sales program for the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka has been very successful.  We are extremely excited with the response so far with more than 100,000 tickets already having been sold by the end of the second phase. I would like to thank the public of Sri Lanka who have already shown, by buying tickets in such large quantities, that they are supporting the tournament with the passion and pride we have come to expect from this island. This is now the final chance for those who missed out in the earlier phases to be a part of this thrilling event.”
Tickets will be available only at box office sales locations and via online booking by logging onto www.icc-cricket.com. No tickets will be sold at MoneyGram outlets in this phase.  Box offices will open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, seven days a week. Any remaining unsold tickets for matches taking place on a particular day will also be sold at respective box office locations.
ICC WT20 SL 2012 Tournament Director Upekha Nell stated, “The ICC World Twenty20 promises to be enthralling, exhilarating and exciting. The ICC World Twenty20 Sri Lanka 2012 is the first time the ICC World Twenty20 will be held in Asia.”
“And as we prepare to celebrate the spirit of cricket, I encourage all fans to be part of the Women’s ICC World Twenty20 group matches in Galle, where entry is free. The women’s semi-finals and final will be held on the same ground, in front of the same crowd and for the same ticket purchase price as the men’s matches. In that way this is a unique showcase for women’s sport.” Find further details are available on the ICC website at www.icc-cricket.com
