Printcare and CTC extend packaging agreement

Printcare, one of the leading suppliers of packaging material to the tea trade and apparel industry, recently renewed its agreement with Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) to supply their packaging requirements for a further three years. With this move, CTC will continue to obtain their packaging locally, as opposed to having to import their requirements, signalling its strong commitment to local supplies.

CTC Managing Director James Yamanaka who signed the agreement said that he was very happy to continue their partnership with Printcare. He stated this initiative was beneficial to CTC as there was a cost saving for the company, in addition to the foreign exchange savings for the country.
Printcare Managing Director K.R. Ravindran said that he considered the renewal of this agreement a huge vote of confidence. He further stated that CTC is a very good partner as they support their suppliers with quality technical support and have a professional approach to doing business.
With its initial roots in the tea trade, Printcare now supplies most of the world’s best tea brands with their tea bag tags, envelopes and carton requirements, with exports to five continents and a clientele consisting of some of the best brands in the world.
Printcare’s packaging expertise goes beyond the global tea and apparel industry and extends into high end security printing, providing innovative tamper proof printing solutions for pre paid telephone cards and lottery tickets.
“We always focus on the top end of the market in whatever we do. This is because it is the more sophisticated customers who understand the lengths that we go to in order to ensure that there is consistency in the quality of the product that we supply. We have invested heavily in setting up world class quality assurance and management information systems, to ensure that we have the right support infrastructure to be the right partner,” concluded Ravindran.
