British Airways to start flying to Sri Lanka from March next year
British Airways will resume flights to Sri Lanka, starting from the 31st of March, 2013, a media report said.
The airline will fly from Gatwick airport to Colombo via Male and will fly three times per week.
It will deploy a three-cabinet Boeing 777 including its Club World business class service, which comprises 48 seats and 24 premium economy seats.
The airline has earlier operated to Colombo, but suspended services 15 years back owing to the civil conflict existed in the country during that time.
United Kingdom brings in the second largest number of tourists to Sri Lanka.
Flights go on sale on August 16 and return trips are priced from £595 for economy, £1,316 for premium economy and £2,244 for Club World.
