National Transport Commission signs up with Mobitel for Mobile Enterprise Solutions

Constantly striving to empower all Government institutions to be conversant in technology, the leader of the ICT transformation in the Country, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel – who incidentally also pioneered the exclusive ‘Upahara’ package to the government sector – today takes pride in signing up with the National Transport commission to supply Mobitel Enterprise Solutions with the latest technology driven mobile communications services. The signing of the MOU took place at the National Transport Commission Auditorium in Colombo 5, in the presence of Private Transport Services Minister C.B Rathnayake along with NTC Chairman Roshan Gunawardena and Mobitel CEO Lalith De Silva.

Speaking at the event Private Transport Services Minister C.B Rathnayake commented, “At a time when the Government is engaged in a continuous large-scale development program, we have an enormous contribution to make towards this effort, just from the sphere of passenger transport alone. Here effective communication plays a big role to ensure efficiency of our job, and due to its volume, the investment we have to make towards this facility is large. It is in this context that we have signed up with Mobitel as we believe that their innovative Mobile Enterprise Solutions come at an affordable cost and will ensure value for money.
