With the increasing growth and usage of credit cards in the market, HSBC has created more value for its cardholder base by rewarding them further for every purchase through its vastly popular loyalty Rewards program.

HSBC cardholders have the opportunity to earn rewards points for all the transactions made by using their HSBC Credit Card and further redeem them instantly at over 400 merchant partner outlets across Sri Lanka.
Spanning over two months from 20 August 2012 to 28 October,  HSBC cardholders are required to swipe their credit card for Rs. 1,000 or more just five times a week at any merchant. The first 1000 cardholders will be able to “upsize” 1,000 Rewards points, weekly as an additional bonus. This is an unmatched benefit brought in by HSBC for its loyal customers for the very first time, who have been enjoying reward points of 1000 for a spend of Rs. 100,000 in the past.
In order to further upsize the value of the Rewards points earned by customers, a special redemption drive will begin from 1 October 2012 with exclusive discounts at all redemption partner outlets across homeware, retail, clothing, fuel and supermarkets categories, allowing cardholders to redeem their accumulated Rewards points and enjoy great savings on their purchases.
Overall HSBC will reward 10 million bonus points to 10,000 eligible cardholders, throughout the program.
“Our Credit Card Rewards program, an industry first, has rapidly evolved with the highest online redemption partner outlets than any other loyalty program in the market. We see an increasingly growing trend in customers who seek additional benefits and as the market leader in the credit card industry, we are happy to pass on this exclusive privilege to our loyal customers,” stated Nilantha Bastian, Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, HSBC.
Whilst, a single customer can earn up to 3,000 bonus points during the entire program, only one transaction from a single merchant will be valid each day.
