It will provide an opportunity to organisations which carried out CSR projects during the year 2011/2012 to apply for the Best CSR Projects Awards.
Speaking of the Award and the new additions Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Deputy Secretary General/Financial Controller Alikie Perera said, “The main objective of organising this event is to encourage enterprises to focus on sustainability of businesses and to engage in CSR activities.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has always kept pace with the timely needs of the society and the country, thus remaining relevant and effective in its approach. Keeping this in mind, in 2012 a new award in the special projects category titled ‘Reconciliation activities in the North and East’ has been included to recognise and encourage those organisations that have carried out exceptional projects in the North and East.”
Taking part in this competition would provide organisations an ideal opportunity to showcase the work that they do for the community and society.
