The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently recognised 20 top companies as Strategic Level training partners at a special ceremony held at the institute’s Colombo 7 premises.
The 20 companies representing the non-public practice sector hailed from diverse areas including banking, textiles, telecommunication, insurance, tourism and plantation, giving the institute’s over 600 training partnerships a further boost with the latest recognition.

CA Sri Lanka granted Strategic Level training partner recognition to Lankaputhra Development Bank Ltd., AHL Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., Sierra Construction (Pvt) Ltd., MBSL Savings Bank Ltd., MAS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., National Asset Management Ltd., Regnis (Lanka) PLC, Brandix Mercury Asia Ltd., Ceylon Pencil Company (Pvt) Ltd., Sanasa Insurance Company Ltd., Urban Development Authority, Certis Lanka Security Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., Ace Distriparks (Pvt) Ltd., Tangerine Tours (Pvt) Ltd., Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd., Phoenix Industries Ltd., Dialog Axiata PLC, Bodyline (Pvt) Ltd., Citizens Development Business Finance PLC and Agalawatte Plantations PLC.
Training partner recognition certificates were handed over the respective companies by CA Sri Lanka President Sujeewa Rajapakse in the presence of CA Sri Lanka Vice President Arjuna Herath, Chief Executive Officer Aruna Alwis and Alternate Chairman of the CA Sri Lanka Training Committee Sanjaya Bandara.
Both CA Sri Lanka President Rajapakse and Vice President Herath appreciated the yeoman service extended by the training partners over the years which helped groom quality chartered accountants to the business world.
Rajapakse also noted that today CA Sri Lanka has over 600 training partners, covering a large spectrum of industries in both public practice and non-public practice sectors. “Through our island-wide network of training partners, CA Sri Lanka expects to provide our students with a greater selection in finding a training partner of their choice,” he said.
The three-year long practical training is an integral part of the institute’s study programme and the Institute believes that these partnerships with training organisations will benefit its trainees and the accounting profession as a whole.
As a training partner, the organisation provides practical training which in result assists the long term development of the accountancy profession in the country.
