ISB excels at National Energy Efficiency Awards 2012

ISB emerged as one of the best Energy Services Company (ESCO) in Sri Lanka by winning the merit award in the ESCO at the Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Awards 2012 which concluded recently. Participating in the prestigious ceremony for the second consecutive year, Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) was recognised for its tremendous efforts and contribution in promoting energy conservation activities for countries energy efficiency improvements through its technical services provided during the last year.

The Sri Lanka National Energy Efficiency Awards is an annual national event conducted by the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority for private and public sector institutions with the aim of recognising their contribution towards an energy efficient Sri Lanka. The award ceremony was held at Hilton-Colombo and awards were distributed by Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksha, Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka and Minister of Environment Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
15 detail energy audits, 42 walkthrough audits, and 350 plus island wide trainings sessions conducted by ISB during the year 2011 have made an immense contribution in reducing the country’s  energy demand by saving  289,000 kWh of electrical energy, 975 kVA of maximum demand, 55,000 litres of Furnace oil and 47,000 kg of firewood.
ISB has been providing energy and environmental services to the nation since 1990 and are renowned for energy auditing, boiler services, consultancies on international energy management systems, mini and micro hydro solutions, wind and solar energy solutions and on and off site trainings on energy and environment management.
