A top level delegation from 29 colleges and universities, primarily from the US, will be in Sri Lanka fm 30 September to 2 October as part of the Council of International School (CIS) South Asia tour.

A spokesman for Scholarships for USA said the representatives will talk to students and parents about the university admission process and campus life in the US. One British university will also be represented.
The CIS tour has historically attracted universities that are very prestigious, yet also enlists a diversity of institutions that will appeal to a wide range of students. A small group of colleges from the CIS tour visited in 2017, but this will be the first time the entire tour group has officially travelled to Sri Lanka. “University representatives are very excited about this new opportunity to attract talented international students to their campuses,” reports tour leader Karen Scott of Texas Christian University.
Tour members will be visiting schools in Colombo on Monday, 1 October and Tuesday, 2 October.  The following universities will participate in the Council of International Schools 2012 South Asia tour: Agnes Scott College – Decatur, Georgia, USA; Bryn Mawr College – Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA; Clark University – Worcester, Massachusetts, USA Colgate University – Hamilton, New York, USA; Connecticut College – New London, Connecticut, USA; George Washington University –Washington, DC, USA; Grinnell College – Grinnell, Iowa, USA; Hult International Business School – London, England; Knox College – Galesburg, Illinois, USA; Loyola Marymount University – Los Angeles, California, USA; Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences – Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Northeastern University – Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Pennsylvania State University- University Park, Pennsylvania, USA; Reed College – Portland, Oregon, USA; Southern Methodist University – Dallas, Texas, USA; St. OIaf College – Northfield, Minnesota, USA; Syracuse University – Syracuse, New York, USA;  Texas Christian University – Fort Worth, Texas, USA; Trinity University – San Antonio, Texas, USA; University of California, Davis – Davis, California, USA; University of California, Los Angeles – Los Angeles, USA; University of Denver – Denver, Colorado, USA; University of Miami – Coral Gables, Florida, USA; University of Missouri – Columbia, Missouri, USA; University of Richmond – Richmond, Virginia, USA;  Vanderbilt University – Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Vassar College – Poughkeepsie, New York, USA; Washington and Jefferson College – Washington, Pennsylvania, USA; and  Winthrop University – Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA.
