According to SLC sources, the highest bid has come from Dialog Axiata, who has put forward a figure of Rs. 1.077 billion.

While another firm, which has forwarded its bid through an agency has quoted a price of Rs. 1.075 billion.

Sri Lanka Tea Board, which is trying to promote its ‘Ceylon Tea’ Brand through cricket, has come up with a sponsorship figure of Rs. 890 million.

Total Sports Asia of India has quoted a sum of Rs. 750 million.

According to SLC CEO, Ajith Jayasekera evaluations are still underway.

SLC Treasure Nuski Mohamed says the response it has received is encouraging.

“It will take a week or two to select a party as the team sponsor”, Mohamed told News360.lk.

SLC sources say, Sri Lanka Tea Board and Dialog are among the possible front-runners to clinch the deal.

Once selected, the respective entity will be the sponsor for the men’s and women’s team, covering all bi-lateral tests, ODI’s and T20 Internationals stipulated in the ICC’s Future Tours Programme.
