ADB Pledges Continued Assistance
The Asian Development Bank has pledged assistance to Sri Lanka with regard to development activities. During a meeting with President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees, ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda, who is here on a three day visit, assured they they would lend their continued support towards infrastructure development.
Kuroda is scheduled to make an official visit to the North and East to oversee the ADB-supported projects as well as meet beneficiaries. Kuroda also praised the government for the rapid development that is occurring on the island as well as post – war construction.
