St. Coombs dominates Dust 1 prices, establishes all-time record price

A high grown plantation in the prime Dimbula planting district of Sri Lanka, St Coombs, is  owned and managed by the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka; coming under the purview of the Sri Lanka Tea Board.
St. Coombs continues to be in the forefront, by producing quality high grown tea, which has resulted in several top prices being achieved in the recent pass.
At the weekly tea auctions held on 21 August 2013, St. Coombs established an all-time record price of Rs. 740 per kg of Dust 1 grade. This surpasses the previous record of Rs. 705. This line of tea was purchased by Premawardena Tea Stores. The sale was conducted by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers (Pvt) Ltd., who is the sole broker of St. Coombs tea and has been associated with the progress of St. Coombs in its drive towards producing quality high grown tea.
