Maharagama Athletic Awards 2013 on Sunday

Maharagama Sports Club is organising the first ever Athletics Award Ceremony to recognise the talent of more than 50 athletes in the arena of athletics. The event will be held on 29 September 2013 from 10:30 a.m. onwards at Somro Reception Hall, Piliyandala Road, Maharagama.
The chief guest of the event will be Sri Lankan Olympic Silver Medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe and Member of the Women’s Committee of the Asian Athletic Association, alongside former President of Sri Lanka Athletic Association and the Former Director General of the Ministry of Education Sunil Jayaweera.
The athletes who will be awarded at this ceremony have participated in district and national level competitions and have been able to win many awards. The Mahargama Sports Club, as a club committed for the betterment of its community have provided many of these award winners with not only proper infrastructure facilities for training from 2009 under the Athletic Training Program under the guidance and supervision of Nalin Perera.
