Kamal Addaraarachchi and Dulani Anuradha adjudged best actor and actress at SIGNIS film festival
The SIGNIS film festival that felicitates the artistes who are committed to the Sinhala Cinema was held for the 37th occasion.
The SIGNIS film festival -2013 organized by the Signis Sri Lanka was held at the Tharanganie theatre last evening for the 37th occasion. Kamal Addaraarachchi who performed in the film ‘Colour’ was adjudged the best actor. Dulani Anuradha was awarded as the best actress for her performance in the ‘Kuveni’. Veteran artiste Ashoka Handagama received the award for the best script writer and director for the film Iniavan. Sugath Samarakoon also received the award for the best director for the film Kuveni. Dr. Sunil Ariyaratna received an award for the best lyrics and the award for the best editor went to Praveen Jayakody who edited ‘Senasuru Maaruwa’. Palitha Perera was adjudged the best cinematographer for his work in the film ‘Karma’. The ceremony was held under the patronage of veteran artiste Ravindra Randeniya. Chairman of the Film Corporation Ashoka Serasinghe also participated in the occasion.
