Anantara Resort and Spa in Sri Lanka to open in early 2015
Sri Lanka’s Hemas Holdings says it will start operating a 154-room luxury resort in Tangalle in early 2015, which will operate under the brand name of ‘Anantara’.
The construction of the hotel, a joint venture between Hemas Holdings and Minor group of Thailand, commenced recently.
Minor group is the owners of the ‘Anantara’ brand, which operates properties in 8 countries.
The US$ 40 million hotel, once in operation will cater to up-market tourists and will have luxury guest rooms and private villas with their own plunge pools.
Hemas says the resort will boast three restaurants and a purpose-built spa.
