President Mahinda Rajapaksa who secretly signed a defense agreement with the USA in 2008 has taken steps to get special instruction from three imperialists’ agents including a person connected with the intelligence network of the USA.

The signing of the defense agreement with the USA as well as appointing the special advisers has been done without known to the cabinet. The appointment of special advisers was done through an extra special gazette of 1871/18 issued on 15th July but the cabinet that met on 17th July was not informed of this appointment.

The advisers are Desmond de Silva and Geoffrey Nice, two British citizens and David Crane who has got the US citizenship and is said to be a member of the US spy ring. Crane had spent 30 years working for the United States federal government. His former posts include Director of the Office of Intelligence Review, assistant general counsel of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The three westerner are appointed to advise Maxwel Paranagama commission President Rajapaksa appointed to investigate the missing persons cases during the three-decade long war as the government has come under mounting pressure from international community to conduct an independent investigation into the cases of disappearances and abductions during the war and also as an answer to the committee appointed by the UNHRC.

The President who got a resolution adopted in Parliament to prevent members of the UN committee from visiting Sri Lanka to investigate has appointed three westerners as special advisers exposing his political bankruptcy.
