Gate-way opens for 'Experts City'
Transforming former 'Tripoli Market' to an eye catching 'Experts City', Colombo welcomes one of the new world order into the city designing a unique setting for inventors while encouraging them for new innovations, creations, inventions and discoveries.
The new 'Experts City' going be an exclusive setting where all think-tanks, including scientific, technical and mechanical inventors and experts could assemble under one roof and brainstorm to invent novel products.
Secretary Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa declared opened one of the renovated buildings namely' CODEGEN' on Monday (28). It's a company which has been established to perform research creating new strides in the field of electronics while going to the extent of experiments with electric mobility.
The great icon behind the concept, Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa firmly believes that new inventions, innovations and new technology which blossoms in the brains of unique individuals would be one of our country's most valuable resources. Its purpose is to provide innovative minds be gathered and stimulate such groups to soar to success by generating new products and services that benefit both the community and the nation.
Subsequent to a fruitful dialogue held between industrial and scientific magnates with Gotabaya Rajapaksa, giving prominence to the national significance of creating a centre in such caliber, the productive moves were taken.
Flanked by Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army, Chairman and Executive Board members of CODEGEN, Rajapaksa exchanged pleasantries with staff and inquired into their new initiatives and fresh innovations, meant to bring epoch making outcomes and undying hopes to the nation.
On completion of the entire project, new setting will be declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the invitation of the Secretary Defence in a grand ceremony in due course.
