15 schools will remain closed from Aug.30 - Sept.12 for marking of answer scripts
Government schools will commence their second term holidays from today (August 1) and are scheduled to reopen for the 3rd term on September 1.
Muslim schools will be closed on 4th of this month and will be reopened on 5th of September.
Meanwhile, the GCE Advanced Level examination and the Grade 5 scholarship exams will be held during school vacations.
According to a press release issued by the Examinations Department the first stage of marking of answer scripts will take place from August 30 to September 12.
Therefore 15 schools will remain closed during this period. Meanwhile, 14 other schools scheduled to reopen for the new term will have several classrooms closed in order to carry out the marking of answer scripts from August 30 to September 12.
The 15 schools that will remain closed for marking of answer scripts will be re-opened on Sept.15.(KH)
