A factory in Matale which produces beer using 4 laks of paddy
The whole island farmers summit complains that there is a beer factory in Matale which uses 450,000 kgs of paddy per day to produce beer and this has caused to increase the prices of raw rice.
At a media conference in Dambulla, the national organizer Namal Karunaratne made this special statement.
He further said ” we heard that a rice mill started recently in Matale produces beer. It is not done at the mill. But, the paddy is sent to another place. ”
” We can produce 270,000 kgs of raw rice out of this paddy. So, price increase in raw rice is not something strange. This government is responsible for this. “
