Kandy District's UPFA People’s representatives have pledged to work with dedication to ensure victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential Election.

The meeting organized by the Chief Minister of Kandy Sarath Ekanayake was held at his official residence where all Kandy District's people's representatived gathered and gave this pledge. The meeting was attended by Provincial Ministers, Provincial Councillors, heads of Local Councils and members of the local bodies in the Kandy District.
During the discussion views were expressed supporting the President at the forthcoming election by Provincial Ministers Bandula Yalegama, Pramitha Bandara and Ediriweera Weerawardena, Provincial Councillors Thilina Tennekoon, Anuradha Jayaratne, Thilak Rajapaksa, R.G. Samaranayake, Jagath Wijenaike, Gamini Wijebandara and W. Yasamanne and Chairman of the Pradeshiya Sabha Mohamed Simshan. (KH)
