Recently Wimal Weerawansa, the minister said to be carrying out scavenging for the government, made himself a bid of Rs.600 million. However, a strongman in the government, who has decided to support the common candidate of the opposition, has said Weerawansa is not worth a dime for the millions of people who have rallied to topple the despotic regime.

The powerful minister who has decided to come out of the government with a group next week has said despite he and several others have taken the decision to leave the government, Weerawansa and other corrupt Parliamentarians who have their files on top of Mahinda Rajapaksa’s table have no alternative but to remain in the government.

A powerful activist of the opposition who is involved in mediating with government ministers and Parliamentarians in the process of getting support for the common candidate quipped that Weerawansa is attempting to act the second episode of the drama played using Musammil during the last presidential election. Musammil made a big din during the last presidential election saying he was given a large amount of money to defect to Gen. Fonseka’s side. He, together with his leader Weerawans, showed a large amount of money at a media conference said to have given to him to defect. However, nothing has been mentioned about this money to date.  The strongman in the opposition  said the weakness of the plot and the impotency of the main actor would cast away the ‘600 million puppet’ from the political arena.
