Sri Lanka participates at TT Warsaw 2014 Tourism Fair

The 22nd edition of “TT Warsaw” was held in Poland from 27 to 29 November 2014 at the MT Polska Trade Fair and Congress Centre, Warsaw. TT Warsaw is the biggest Tourism Fair that takes place annually, which this year attracted 515 exhibitors/co-exhibitors from 50 countries with nearly 18,000 visitors. 

 

Sri Lanka was represented by six leading tour companies- viz, Yathra Travels, Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort, Tropical Asia Tours, Autumn Lanka Travels, Golden Isle Travels and Ceylon Roots (Pvt) Ltd.

 

 

The Sri Lankan Stand at the “TT Warsaw” was inaugurated by Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Poland, D. S. de Silva, by lightning the traditional oil lamp. Embassy officials and the representatives of the Sri Lankan tour operators participated in the ceremonial opening at Sri Lankan Stand.

 

 

A large number of visitors patronised the Sri Lanka stall. Chief Executives of the Sri Lankan companies who attended the event were pleased with the enthusiasm shown by the Polish people towards Sri Lanka, and expressed their interest in continuing their promotional campaign in Poland. Tourist brochures in Polish and English showcasing Sri Lanka's heritage, scenery, wildlife and festival were distributed among the visitors.

 

 

Tea was also promoted at this fair and large crowds gathered at the stall to taste a cup of "Ceylon Tea". (SDF/KH)
