Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel, the National Mobile Service Provider tied up with Sri Lanka Cricket to provide its customers with the latest news from the cricketing world. The new service offers its subscribers first hand news on Sri Lanka Cricket ‘straight from the dressing room’ via SMS. Mobitel customers can subscribe to the service by typing REG SLC and sending it to 123 to register for this service.

Cricketing news covered by the new service includes; match scores related to any international or domestic match involving Sri Lanka, pitch reports, recruitment of support staff and chief decisions taken by the interim committee of SLC, including firsthand information on team selection. The uniqueness of the service is that all this information would be disseminated to the Mobitel customer even before the story is released to the media, offering Sri Lanka’s ardent cricket followers with greater cricketing insight and most up to date status on Sri Lankan Cricket.

Match score information related to Sri Lanka A team, Under 19 and even Development squad teams would also be provided for subscribers through this service.
