National cricket team sponsor, Dialog Axiata Plc, launched ‘Cricket Loka Kusalana Lankawe Ape Jathika Pathuma’, the official wishing campaign of the Sri Lanka Cricket team for the ICC World Cup, to channel the wishes of Sri Lankans in support of the side.

‘Sri Lanka Cricket World Cup Wish’, powered by Dialog Axiata Plc, was officially launched with the inaugural signature of Sports Minister Navin Dissanayake at the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) headquarters.
The national team, which is presently touring New Zealand, joined the event via a video call facilitated by Dialog.
The Sri Lanka cricket team carry the expectations of all Sri Lankans and the wishing campaign evokes the blessings of all 21 million Sri Lankans for the team during their endeavour to bring back the cup.
Dialog, voted by Sri Lankan consumers as the Telecom Services Provider of the Year for the third year in succession at the SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Choice Awards, took on the mantle of powering cricket in July 2013. Dialog’s sponsorship of the national team encompasses both the men’s and women’s national cricket units across all forms of the game spanning Test, One Day and T20 played in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka will commence their World Cup campaign when they take on the Kiwis in a Pool ‘A’ game, on 14 February at Christchurch in New Zealand.
The Sri Lanka Cricket–Dialog Wishing Truck will travel the length and breadth of the country collecting well-wishers’ signatures.
