An arrant thief with Ravi
It is reported that Mr. Namal Ratnayaka, a main accused of Mavil-Aru farmers’ compensation case and is released on bail is working with new Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayaka.
Namal Ratnayaka was in remand for about 7 months.
When Mavil-Aru anicut was closed down by LTTE terrorists the paddy fields in the area were destroyed as they didn’t receive water. Then government decided to compensate the farmers and Namal Ratnayaka was accused of stealing a part of that money. Former minister S.M. Chandrasena too was an accused.
