Law and order reinforced in the North
The Sri Lanka Legal Aid Commission says it has now been possible to reinforce the law in the North and East.
Chairman of the Commission S.S. Wijeratne said hitherto its was not possible to enforce law and order in these two Province due to terrorists activities. The civilians of these regions should have the ability to seek justice. Mr. Wijeratne said that with the routing of terrorism they are now vested the right of seeking justice. He was speaking during a workshop on law organized at the Judicial Complex in Horana. It was organized under UNDP aid to educate the lawyers. Judges of Appeal Courts, High Courts and District Courts and Magistrates were present.
