PM to visit North to hold discussions with Tamil leaders

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe will make an official three-day visit to the Northern Province from today to hold discussions with the Northern Province leaders on the issues people in the north are facing.

Prime Minister expects to meet parliamentarians and the general public in the north during this visit. He will also hold several rounds of talks regarding the welfare of rehabilitated youth and the resettling programme.

 

The Prime Minster is also scheduled to meet with meet Jaffna Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas Savundranayagam and South Indian Bishop Rt. Rev. Daniel Kanakaraja.

 

The Prime Minister will inspect the Palaly Army Headquarters and Naval Headquarters in Kankasanthurai as well. He will participate in religious activities at the Naga Viharaya, Nallur Kovil and Jumma Mosque in Jaffna.
