A deadly ride!
An accident occurred when an SLTB (Sri Lanka Transport Board) bus collided with a trishaw, that has toppled on Hatton- Colombo road in Hatton Police Division last (30) afternoon.
Two passengers of the trishaw have been injured in the accident. Upon admission to Watawala hospital, one of them has been pronounced dead. The deceased is a 34-year-old resident of Rosella area. The other victim is still being treated at the hospital.
The remains of the deceased are kept at the morgue of Watawala hospital. The post mortem examination is to be held today (31).
The bus driver and the trishaw driver involved in the accident have been taken into police custody. They will be produced before Hatton Magistrate's Courts today (31). Hatton Police is conducting further investigations.
