Lynchburg police department burns, no injuries
Fire has destroyed a small South Carolina police station where a patrol car was burned earlier this year.
Lynchburg Mayor Thompson Isaac told WIS-TV says the fire occurred early Wednesday. There are no reports of injuries.Isaac says police and the Lee County Sheriff's Department are investigating. But he says the fire is suspicious since a fire in March destroyed an unmarked police car.Isaac says the fire is another blow to the cash-strapped town of about 500 people. Lynchburg is about 55 miles east of Columbia.
