Sri Lanka benefits from the Singapore Jewellery Exhibition
Many business opportunities have been generated for Sri Lankans, following the staging of the International Gem and Jewellery Exhibition in Singapore.
This year’s International Gem and Jewellery Exhibition in was organized at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on a grand scale. The Exhibition spanned about 7000 square metres. About 150 gem and jewellery manufacturers representing various countries presented their products for sale and display. The National Gem and Jewellery Authority said that more than 1500 buyers from the Asia Pacific, Middle East and European regions visited the Exhibition.
Chairman of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Anil Koswatte said such an Exhibition was being planned in Sri Lanka on the instructions of Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
