The financial departments and institutes of China and Sri Lanka are still working closely on the new financial requests raised by Sri Lanka, in the backdrop of the island nation s temporary suspension of debt payment and the talks of debt restructuring with IMF, says the Chinese Ambassador to Colombo.

The Colombo Magistrate s Court has issued another foreign travel ban on former Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
The committee report on constitutional reforms has been handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, according to the Secretary to the President, Gamini Senarath.
In a letter to the Chief Prelates of the three Buddhist Chapters, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has stated that he agrees to form an interim government, the Registrar of the Asgiri Chapter, Ven. Medagama Dhammananda Thero said.
