Joseph Stalin, the general-secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union, has been arrested by the police today (August 03).
The Colombo Fort Police has informed those occupying tents and temporary shelters at the Galle Face protest site to vacate the premises by 5.00 p.m. on August 05.
"We aren’t happy. We will fight this legally," said one of the protestors.
Protesters at ‘Gota Go Gama’ at Galle Face have been told to vacate the premises before 5pm on August 5th.
