Tarana Foundation

The Tarana Foundation was established in 2018 with  15 members and has grown into a registered Non-Profit Charity Foundation (Company No. GA 00211699 guaranteed by NGO) with a shared vision to empower and uplift the socio-economic norms of rural communities in Sri Lanka. Tarana Foundation highly values the power of partnership and commitment towards social services. Hence, they work with individuals, groups, corporates, and registered non-governmental organizations in Sri Lanka and abroad to achieve their objectives and make a meaningful impact.

They pay greater attention to Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 in their charitable initiatives. Their first and foremost goal is to support hospitals regarding equipment, medicines, and medical and surgical consumables while ensuring that rural areas have equal access to healthcare facilities and quality healthcare services.

Another critical component of their mission is education. Tarana Foundation ensures quality and equal education for rural students by providing basic school requirements to children in rural villages and supporting the rural schools with much-needed enmities.

Tharana Foundation is dedicated to providing pure water to people living in rural areas with the understanding of equal water sanitation needs for all.  They facilitated solutions for rural communities to access clean water and provided sanitation facilities, particularly in rural schools.

In addition, the Tarana Foundation engages in housing projects for rural areas, which has a long-lasting impact on the people living in those areas. Through their housing project, they want to enhance the quality of life and give people who require safe, long-lasting homes.

Lastly, Tarana Foundation is committed to positively impacting the environment by initiating environmentally friendly projects in rural schools and, creating awareness of the environmental issues in the island & supporting Solutions to protect it.
